Just yesterday I found myself in the cinema in front of Mr. Jack Sparrow who is once again battling pirates and whatnot in his perpetually drunk state. The movie is very entertaining, and while I can’t give you a DVD just yet, I can invite you to listen to the captivating music written by one of my favorite soundtrack artist, Hans Zimmer (Gladiator, The Last Samurai). He has captured the pirate style with music amazingly well, reoccurring themes are easily recognizable, but hugely varied. To sum up: I really like it.

Reviews for latest movie(s) by Robert Rodriguez and Quentin Tarantino are generally good. I’m rather split on it, decent, just didn’t blow me away (respectively the directors recently worked on Sin City and Kill Bill). I do think the vintage style posters are major kick ass, especially the one with Rose McGowan (Fully Loaded)

Not everyone liked Emilio Estevez’ heavy handed faux re-creation of the day leading up to Robert Kennedy’s assassination in 1968. I thought it was actually a pretty decent drama and overall one of the better movies of 2006.

Sure a ton of things don’t make sense (why is Helen Hunt with super old though super cool Josiah Bartlet/Charlie Sheen?) but Frodo (Elijah Wood) always makes me cry. The movie also stars Anthony Hopkins, Demi Moore, Sharon Stone and Lindsay Lohan.

A critic made a joke about how Weinstein spread some mojo to get the Golden Globe nomination, I say good for Bobby!

Wireless headphones are great… You can listen to music anywhere in the room without dragging a long, heavy cord around with you, and you even dance and spin around freely . (not that I do that, of course) As for me, I use headphones mostly for gaming and this affordable set by Sennheiser will allow me to get up and use the bathroom or fix a late night snack and still be able to run back to the computer if I hear myself getting shot at.
