Ergonomic Wrist/Arm Massager

Ergonomic MassagerIf you spend long days in front of a computer like I do, then check out this gadget.  I often have to take breaks from typing and using the mouse because my wrists start to hurt… definitely not a good sign.  But if I had one of these massagers on my desk, I could rest my arm in there for a few minutes to relieve the tension.  Of course, this thing is kind of big to leave on the desk, but its still pretty cool, I think ;-)

Cuisinart 15 Piece Cutlery Set - Knife Vault

Cuisinart 15 Piece Cutlery Set - Knife VaultThis is a great gift idea for the chef in your life.  I’m not sure how good the knives are, but I love the design and look of this set by Cuisinart.  You could leave it out on your countertop as an accent piece (especially if you have stainless steel appliances), and the best part is that it’s lockable to keep the knives safe and secure. It includes an 8-inch chef knife, 8-inch bread knife, 7-inch Santoku knife, 4.5-inch serrated utility knife, 3.5-inch paring knife, six steak knives, kitchen shears, and a 9-inch sharpening steel.  Not bad!

Dilbert: 2007 Day-To-Day Calendar

Dilbert: 2007 Day-To-Day CalendarI remember back in high school, I had a Physics teacher who had a Far Side day-to-day calendar on his desk. Each day we would look forward to checking out the latest comic, and it was actually one of the few things to look forward to in school. Well, Dilbert is just as funny, especially if you have to deal with office politics, buzzword-spouting bosses, annoying coworkers, and pointless assignments each and every day just like he does :-)

Sennheiser RS100 - 900 MHz Wireless Headphones

Sennheiser RS100 - 900 MHz Wireless HeadphonesWireless headphones are great… You can listen to music anywhere in the room without dragging a long, heavy cord around with you, and you even dance and spin around freely . (not that I do that, of course) ;-) As for me, I use headphones mostly for gaming and this affordable set by Sennheiser will allow me to get up and use the bathroom or fix a late night snack and still be able to run back to the computer if I hear myself getting shot at.

Super Monkey Ball Banana Blitz for Nintendo Wii

Super Monkey Ball Banana Blitz for Nintendo WiiI was lucky enough to get a Nintendo Wii, since I had pre-ordered one in the beginning of November. However, I had to get one of those “bundles” that comes with 6 additional games. I decided to put some of the games on eBay, but Super Monkey Ball looked interesting enough for me to open and play. It’s packed with about 50 party games that make full use of the Wii’s innovative remote and nunchuck controller. I killed a few hours playing it on the day I got it, and I’m sure I’ll be spending a lot more time in front of the TV now ;-)

Get it for $49.82 at Amazon.com (originally $49.99) - Not a huge discount, but since you get Free Shipping and probably don’t have to pay tax, its much better than buying it in a store.

1500 watt Portable Backup Power System

1500 watt Portable Backup Power SystemWith the rainy and stormy season approaching where I live, I decided to check out some portable generators and backup systems… Although power consumption is worse during the summer time, its never too late to be prepared.  Most gas powered generators are very expensive, but I found a slightly different solution that is acutally affordable.  This 1500 watt backup power system by Xantrex has two standard outlets as well as a 12v DC outlet, so you can run virtually any of your home appliances.  In particular, I need it to run my aquarium filter, heater and pump in case the power goes out :-)

Measuring Tape Tape

Measuring Tape TapeNo, the title is not a typo… this 50 yd. roll of tape also doubles as measuring tape! It has markings at every 1/8 in., with perforations at each 12 in. point. If you’ve every struggled with holding a traditional measuring tape in place, then this may be the solution for you. The adhesive on this tape is also non-staining and can be easily repositioned. Pretty cool, unless you need metric units ;-)

B-Pop Barstool

B-Pop BarstoolI’m not sure why I’m drawn to this barstool, but I definitely think it would look great in a home with modern decor. The lines are very simple and elegant, and the full size back makes sure you will be comfortable. If you have a set of old barstools, then maybe its time for an upgrade ;-)
