Lord of the Rings is quite a favorite of mine and being the reading kind that I am, I would really recommend reading the book. Just like the Film Trilogy you can get all three books for a great price and read about some adventures you haven’t seen on film (like Tom Bombadil) and read some appendices to go with it. I also like stylish books, so I would definitely go for this edition, it doesn’t cost more than the three-part hardbacks because of the discount and is a beautiful piece of art that comes with fold out maps, a ribbon placemaker and some added extras.
